When it comes to engineering many people immediately consider those that put together mechanical structures but rarely does a person consider one particular aspect of the work: engineering drawing. Very similar but surprisingly different than architectural drawing, engineering drawing consists of drawing designs part by part, piece by piece. It's certainly a meticulous task that takes dexterity in drawing and imagination while at the same time the ability to think of the mechanics of how a machine works and is put together.Many engineering drawers didn't wake up one day and decide they wanted to get into engineering drawing, rather, they had the interest of drawing added to the curiosity of how a mechanical object is put together: basically they were curious about how an engine runs and enjoyed creating the theory of it on paper. Engineering drawing is a career for someone that possesses those passions well before they're even of an age to decide a career.Under basic understanding engineering drawing is very similar to architectural drawing. Both require building an idea on paper and ensuring the structure works as a whole. With architectural drawing the outside should look appealing. It's a very important aspect of architectural drawing. With engineering drawing the outcome doesn't so much have to be beautiful more than it has to be functional. All pieces and parts drawn in an engineering drawing need to fit together and actually work in real life-theoretical engineering wouldn't be a successful career to get involved in.
